The Great Taper!

Today was my last long run before the Marathon! This is the time in the training program that all marathon runners live for. Today's run was 20 miles and the last long run before the Lake Chelan Marathon on Sept. 20th! It's all down hill from here. The next two weeks are maintenance runs leading up to the final event. I'm really looking forward to it. Kent will be running in the half marathon on the same day and also just completed his last long run. If you are not doing anything on September 20th and you want to get away for the day to a beautiful part of the state, come on over! We appreciate having a cheer squad!

It's been a busy day between getting a long run in and going to Olympia and meeting our friends Diane and Buzz for lunch. We have so many good friends in the Olympia area - I miss living there.

In case you missed the outcome of the Cal - WSU game it was a real blowout with Cal winning 66-3 over WSU. Embarrassing loss - Go Cal!

Have a great week -

Jim
