December 4th - My 48th Birthday!

It's been a full day today that started with a 7.5 mile run followed by bagels and cranberry bliss and an americano from Starbucks courtesy of Kent!
It was extra special since he usually refuses to buy my coffee, claiming he does not know what I drink.


I took this picture of our house as I headed out for my run. It was a beautiful morning for a run. I also opens all my birthday gifts first thing this morning so I could enjoy them all day!


After that we went to see the movie - My Week with Marilyn which was very good.

OMG - I'm 48!

It's 2:15 a.m. and I just woke up and realized I'm 48! WTF - when and how did that happen! I'm going back to sleep hoping its all a nightmare and I'm actually 34 (which was a great year for me).

Birthday Eve

Last day of being 47! Christ, I guess I'm officially in my late 40's! Had a great day that started off enjoying our beautiful home all decked out for the holidays with Kent and our three dogs. It's nice to be home after being out of town all week.

We then went holiday shopping and went to see The Decedents.


A really great movie which may well be right up there as one of my favorite of the year - check it out!

Our security cameras caught a delivery at home and since I could see it was a plant we headed home to make sure it was not damaged by the cold weather.


Turns out it was a beautiful basket filled with Christmas cactus with pine cone accents with a colorful red ribbon and a birthday ballon!


Thanks Mom and Dad - I love it! You're the best!


Dinner at Judy Fu's followed by our first Holiday concert of the year! Rainbow City Band put on a great show up in Edmonds.















We have a lot planned this season and today was the official kick off to the season!

One last shout out to my friend Kathy - Happy Birthday! Miss you! Thanks for the B-day card!

Kansas Run!

I can add Kansas to the list of states which I've ran in!


It was totally unplanned but as I went out for my morning run before I knew it I crossed from Missouri to the state of Kansas!

I also ran through a neighborhood and this tree was was far to beautiful not to share!



Just finished my first presentation of the day - one more after lunch and then headed to the airport!

Kansas City Run

I was able to check Missouri off my list of states that I've ran in by going on a 5.5 mile run this morning. That makes 25 states so far!
